Thank you for your interest in the Covenant of the Goddess Associates Program. You will find enclosed information about the Program, as well as an application form. Should you decide to become a CoG Associate, you must submit the following:

  1. A completed application form.
  2. A Statement of Eligibility.
  3. A Letter of Introduction
  4. A Letter if Recommendation (Optional)
  5. A check or Money Order in the amount of $40.00, made out to Covenant of the Goddess or CoG.

Defining Our Terms

Statement of Eligibility
This statement must be written by yourself. It must, first and foremost, state that you are a Witch (or Wiccan), that the Goddess is the primary focus of your Worship (although the God may be worshipped, as well) and that you adhere to the Wiccan Rede (An' It Harm None, Do As Ye Will). It should also state that you agree to subscribe to the Code of Ethics outlined in the CoG By-laws (attached to the application form). Your Statement should say that you wish to become a CoG Associate.
In addition, the Statement of Eligibility should include some details about you (or your Coven) such as length of time in the Craft, level of training (if any) and any Tradition or Culture you practice within or feel drawn to.

Letter of Introduction
This should be written by someone other than yourself, who knows you and is willing to verify your credibility. This person, preferably, should be a Craft Elder.

(If you have not had enough contact with any Craft practitioner to make it possible to obtain such a letter, you should substitute a letter that is self-written, explaining your situation.)

Letter of Recommendation
This is optional, is a letter written by a member of the Covenant, recommending that you be accepted as an Associate.

Where to Apply

If there is a Local Council in your area, you must apply through the Local Council. The Local Council Officer charged with administering the Associates Program will determine if you meet the criteria to become an Associate. Methods of determination may vary from council to council.

If there is no nearby Local Council, you may submit your application to the National Membership Officer, who administers the national program and will determine your eligibility.

When you have completed the above procedure, your name will be published in the CoG Newsletter. If no CoG member knows of any reason why you should not be accepted as a CoG Associate, you will be welcomed into the Program.
